Which edition is right for you? Standard vs Professional vs Business
Tholos AI comes in three editions — Standard, Professional, and Business — plus a 14-day free trial. Every edition shares the same private, offline core; the differences are about how much you automate, scale, and integrate. This guide explains what each one unlocks so you can pick with confidence.
What every edition includes
No matter which edition you choose, you get the full set of privacy-first workflows, all running entirely on your device:
- Document Q&A, summarization, and a private writing assistant
- PII redaction, private translation, and entity extraction
- Contract review, OCR & document extraction
- Meeting notes (offline transcription), plus voice dictation, voice queries, and read-aloud
Standard is a genuinely complete privacy tool — the higher editions add capability, they don’t unlock the basics.
Standard — $79.90/year
The entry edition for an individual professional doing privacy-first document work. It includes every core workflow above and the voice conveniences.
What Standard intentionally leaves for the higher tiers — these are the upgrade levers:
- Single-session RAG only. Drop files, ask, and the index is discarded when the session ends. A durable, re-queryable corpus is Professional.
- One document at a time — no batch processing.
- No infographic generator and built-in skills only (no skill authoring).
- 2 installed model slots, on 1 machine.
Professional — $149.90/year
Standard plus the productivity and automation layer:
- Local Knowledge Base — a persistent, on-device document corpus you can query across sessions, with citations.
- Batch processing — apply any workflow to an entire folder, unattended.
- AI infographic generator — turn document data into shareable visuals.
- Guided skill builder — a form-based wizard to create reusable skills, no prompt-writing required.
- Frontier reasoning models (opt-in), 6 model slots, and priority support.
Business — $249 / seat / year
Professional plus integration, scale, and team deployment:
- Local API Server — let your own local scripts and apps call Tholos AI over a localhost endpoint (still strictly on-device, no outbound path).
- Advanced skill editor — full prompt templates with variables, multi-step chains, and output parsing.
- Multi-seat / volume licensing with per-seat discounting and silent/managed install for IT fleets.
- Dedicated support channel and onboarding, plus unlimited model slots.

Which should I pick?
The simplest way to choose is to finish this sentence — “I now need to…”:
- “…stop re-dropping the same documents,” “process a whole folder,” or “present this as a visual” → Professional.
- “…call Tholos AI from my own scripts,” “deploy to many machines,” or “build custom multi-step prompt chains” → Business.
- Just need the complete privacy toolkit for yourself → Standard.
