Windows: extract TholosAiSetup.zip, double-click the setup program inside, and follow the prompts. If Windows SmartScreen appears, click More info → Run anyway — you can verify the file against the checksum above.
macOS: open TholosAi.dmg and drag Tholos AI into your Applications folder. On first launch, right-click the app and choose Open if Gatekeeper asks.

Which build should I download?
Windows users: the x64 build runs on Windows 10 and 11. Mac users: pick the build that matches your processor — Apple M-Series (ARM64) or Intel (x86_64). To check, click the Apple menu → About This Mac: a "Chip Apple M…" line means Apple Silicon; "Processor Intel Core" means Intel.
Why is the installer small but the app needs gigabytes of storage?
The installer ships the application only. AI models are downloaded separately from the in-app catalog so you only fetch the ones you want — model files range from under 1 GB to tens of GB depending on the tier your hardware can run.
My antivirus or SmartScreen flagged the download. Is it safe?
Yes. New installers sometimes trigger reputation-based warnings before they accumulate download history. Verify your file's integrity by comparing its checksum with the one published on this page — if it matches, the file is exactly what we shipped.
Do I need to uninstall the old version before updating?
No. Installing a new version replaces the old one and preserves your settings, downloaded models, Knowledge Base, and sessions.
Can I install on a machine with no internet connection?
Yes — that's a core use case. Download the installer and models on a connected machine, transfer them, and use the air-gap install option (Business edition) for fully offline deployment. After activation, no internet is ever required.
